Connection Established at 14:02. Today is the 12th of Yelona. Across the galaxy, we are facing uncertain times. When I was a foundling, the benefits of masks were clear, but not everyone listened. Many chose to leave our planet of Maskaro with hopes of finding air that was pure and free of contagions and are still searching for a safe place. I never considered permanently leaving Maskaro but simply chose to wear a mask. I believe that masks can positively impact your health and reduce the spread of certain airborne contagions.

Approximately 9 moons ago, I learned that the people of earth have learned about the benefits of masks, but that they could use some more encouragement to wear them when they are close to each other. My number one function has been to distribute masks to the public. This is what I was sent here to do. I am the Maskalorian.

When we arrived on the planet, my apprentice and I found ourselves in the city of Graz, Austria. The first thing that we did was to walk through the streets to assess the situation. We were pleased to see that more people were wearing masks than expected, but felt that we could help the public by handing out even more.
Picture
I walked for some time and found the people of Graz to be kind folk. The women below were quite friendly and were happy to take a mask. After talking to them for a moment, it was clear that I was the first Maskalorian that they had ever encountered.
Picture
The man below had a lot of questions for me. He wanted to know where I was from and if my apprentice was actually my child. I informed him that I will take care of it until I can reunite with its own species. He seemed pleased with my response and he put on a mask while we were speaking.

Throughout the day, many people even crossed the street to greet me and receive a mask. The woman below was one of them. She seemed to know how to properly put on a mask which pleased me a great deal. I gave her a couple extra masks for her two friends and they seemed pleased to receive proper air protection.
Picture
Shortly into my walk throughout this city, I noticed a man that was standing next to some sort of Speeder bike. It looked like a 74-Z with wheels. The gentle owner of this mode of transport took a mask with a smile and seemed friendlier than the individuals on other planets.

Many people were wearing masks, even when they weren’t standing right next to others. The woman below  was one of them. She approached me and asked if we could take a photo together, which of course I allowed her to do. I smiled underneath my mask, but that is hard to tell from this picture.
Picture
The foundling in the red shirt  was one of the first ones that I encountered as I walked through the city. He  was very excited to receive a mask.
Picture
As excited as the boy was, the father was even more eager and asked if he could have a selfie with me as well. I have provided photographic evidence of this positive encounter.
Picture
I talked with the man pictured below with the black mask ´for some time. He asked me if I knew Boba Fett. I told him that we had studied together and we are planning on meeting up for a cup of spotchka in the coming months. He seemed really happy about that.
Picture
I was surprised by how many people wanted to take a picture with me. This was my first 3 mask selfie. It was invigorating.
Picture
I met people from many different countries. The woman below was from Ireland and when I told her that I was a Maskalorian she seemed very surprised. She shared some encouraging words about my function of handing out masks and said that she would share this information with the people of Ireland.
Picture
After taking a few pictures, I started to climb a small mountain which the people of Graz call the Schlossberg and I encountered many people along the way. As I climbed up the stairs, I was waving masks in the air and I handed them all out for free. It is my opinion that people will wear masks more easily if they do not cost any credits.
Picture
The man in the photo below is named Max and he agreed that it is important to wear masks when we are close. He thanked me for keeping people safe and healthy. I offered him employment to help me with my function, but he politely declined. I noticed that he was carrying a stroller so I have come to the conclusion that he works for another child and has his hands full at the moment.
Picture
Of course I had my tracking fob in order to find people that weren’t wearing masks.

Most people were very kind, but I did have one encounter with a man that was not interested in supporting my cause and we got into a bit of a disagreement. It took a bit of convincing, but we eventually started seeing things the same way.
Picture
I talked with the woman pictured below  for a while and although she already  had multiple masks in her bag, she took another one. She asked me if I was a mask warrior and I informed her that yes, indeed I was, and that Greef Karga once said that I was the best in the parsec.
Picture
As I approached the top of the Schlossberg in Graz, I met a man who asked a question that I receive quite often when I am on various planets. The question was if I had ever taken off my helmet. I told him that yes, I have taken off my helmet, but never my mask.
Picture
It was a thrill handing out so many masks. Every morning when I wake up on Maskaro, I am thankful for this job that I have. My number one function is to deliver masks to the public and I have a sneaking suspicion that I will do this again soon here on planet Earth.
